SPECIAL COURSE
POSTGRADUATE UNIVERSITY COURSE
"ADVANCED STUDIES IN MUSIC AND DANCE EDUCATION ORFF-SCHULWERK"
October 1st, 2012 – June 30th, 2013

The postgraduate university course will once again be held in the cultural center of Salzburg/Austria, close to the roots of the Schulwerk and the homes of Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman. It is offered to teachers of music and dance pedagogy with at least three years teaching experience.

The curriculum includes:
· Didactics of Elemental Music and Dance
· Pedagogy and Practice Teaching
· Ensemble and Improvisation
· Composing and Arranging
· Movement/Dance Technique
· Basic Choreography and Improvisation
· Movement Accompaniment
· Music and Dance for Different Age Groups
· Projects in: Movement/Integrating the Arts/ Elemental Music Theater
· Theory and Practice of Instrument Building
and others.
TEACHERS are faculty members of the Orff Institute, University Mozarteum, Salzburg along with international guest teachers.
STUDENTS are from all over the world and represent the cultural diversities of their countries and homes.
