Hilree Hamilton 1948-2011

AOSA recently learned the sad news of the death of AOSA member Hilree Hamilton. On Friday, January 7, Judy Bond wrote:Hilree Hamilton

"This morning I received news that Hilree Hamilton passed away last evening. She had been very ill for almost a year, the result of side effects from her cancer treatment. Hilree served two terms as a Regional Representative on the AOSA  Board, and she was involved after that as a member of the Research Advisory Panel. She was certified in both music education and music therapy, and she taught in public schools as well as at the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin River Falls. She also taught Orff Level I at the University of South Carolina. Hilree was a dear friend and a treasured colleague. She was an inspiration to children and students of all ages, and her joyful spirit will live on in their lives. Like many others, I feel blessed to have been her friend and colleague, and I will miss her."
