Welcome, newly elected National Board of Trustees members!

These new Board members will take office on July 1, 2011.

Regional Representative elect for Region I
Sandy teaches K-5 general music at Lowry Elementary School in Denver, Colorado. Students from the Metropolitan College of Denver complete their field experience, working with Sandy.
She received a BMEd from Otterbein College and a MMEd from the University of Colorado, at Boulder. She received all three levels of Orff teacher education at the University of Denver.
Sandy is the recipient of Colorado’s Excellence in Education award. Her students presented An Egg’Ceptional Tale at the opening session of the 1990 Denver AOSA Professional Development Conference.

Deb Farrington

Regional Representative elect for Region II
Deb teaches K-6 general music and 6-8 band in Silver Valley Unified School District, Yermo, California.
She has a BS in music from Bowling Green State University, and received all three levels of Orff training at the University of Nevada—Las Vegas.
She has served as vice president of membership and is currently serving as president of the Inland Counties Orff chapter. She has been active in her district, working with the Fine Arts Committee to receive Arts and Music Block Grants.

Regional Representative elect for Region III
Jan is a K-4 music specialist at University Park Elementary in Dallas, Texas.
Level III and an Orff Master Class were earned at Memphis State University. She received bachelors and masters degrees from East Texas State University.
Jan has served twice as chapter vice president and president of the North Texas Chapter. She was the Local Co-Chair of the 1995 AOSA Conference in Dallas. As 2005 Teacher of the Year, she has been active in the Texas Music Educators Association as a clinician and region chairperson. Jan is a contributing author for Step Into the Spotlight—McGraw Hill.

Peter Hinch

Regional Representative elect for Region VI
Peter teaches general music, grades 1- 6, at Pioneer School in West Chicago, Illinois.
He has a BM degree and received all three levels of Orff teacher education from DePaul University. In 2007, he completed an Orff Master Class at the University of Memphis.
Peter has served as vice president and president of the Greater Chicago Orff chapter. He also served as the Conference Committee Chair (session introducers) at the 2009 conference in Milwaukee. He presented at the San Jose AOSA conference and has taught special topics in the VanderCook Orff levels program.

Corbin Trimble
Corbin Trimble, AOSA Treasurer
Corbin teaches K-5 general music at Bentwood Elementary in Overland Park, Kansas.
He completed Level III at the University of Nevada—Las Vegas and an Orff Master Class at the University of Memphis. He earned a BMEd from Washburn University and a MMEd from the University of Kansas.
Corbin served as vice president and president of his local chapter. At the national level he serves as the current AOSA treasurer. Previously he served as a member of the Teacher Training Review Committee and as the AOSA Online Auction Chair.

Chris teaches middle school music (Grades 5-8) at Good Shepherd Episcopal School in Dallas, Texas.
Her Level III Orff teacher education is from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, with Master Classes at Hamline University, St. Paul. Her bachelor and master degrees are from Indiana University—South Bend.
Chris's AOSA experience is extensive, including Local Conference Co-Chair for the Dallas Conference in 1995, to National Conference Co-Chair for the Milwaukee Conference in 2009. Chris is currently serving as Chair of the AOSA Executive Director Search Committee. An active Orff clinician, she serves as adjunct faculty at Trinity University.
